Derbyshire County Champs – Feb 2020

All ISC entries have been accepted, as listed here:  http://www.derbyshireswimming.org.uk/index.php/competitions/county-championships
Please be advised that the organiser has published an amendment to the conditions as follows:  ‘If a swimmer is wearing a club hat, then the hat must be the one of the club entering the swimmer. Swimmers wearing non-compliant hats will not be allowed to compete’.

Also, please be reminded that ONLY coaches, on duty team managers and officials will be allowed on poolside and in the sports hall where swimmers will wait between events. If there are any issues that require parent/guardian involvement, a team manager will be in touch.  In addition, NO swimmers will be allowed in the spectator balcony.

Chesterfield Meet at Matlock – 4 & 5 April

Although not until April, this is another popular ‘1st come/1st served’ Open Meet, so early entry is required. All entries to Leeann by Sunday 2nd February please (or via Victoria/Coaches), with the EXACT payment in cash, cheque or bacs to the Club, at a cost of £6.50 per event + £1 per day contribution for coach passes. Alternatively, e-mail the swimmer name, ASA number, events entered, contact phone no. & confirmed bacs payment to; secretary@ilkestonswimmingclub.co.uk

March L1 Open Meets – Change Notice

Further to review of the challenging qualification criteria and early closing date for the City of Sheffield L1 Meet on 27-29th March, and a further search for alternative Open Meets, we will now be targeting the Nova L1 Meet on the same weekend instead.

The qualification times are less onerous, the closing date allows for entry after Counties (more chance for qualifying swimmers) and it’s just up the road at Harvey Hadden!
So, the March Open Meets are now as follows:
1st – Nova L3entries to Leeann closes today
14th&15th – Liverpool L1will be FB/Blog posted by end Jan
28th&29th – Nova L1will be FB/Blog posted by mid Feb

REMINDER: Entries by tomorrow, 16 Jan
