May Rotherham Open Meet Full!

Having moved from securing entry into the Chesterfield Meet to looking at the Rotherham Meet in May, I have this week discovered that it’s full already!  Apologies if you were holding out for this one, but ISC will not be there this time….  The next planned Open Meet will be the City of Leeds on 29&30 June and I will call for entries in late April as entries will only be accepted for this Meet in mid May (phew!!).

Training this Weekend – 9 & 10 March

Message from Richard to Mid Potential, Junior Elite and National Potential Squads: There will be no training this Saturday 7.30am to 9.30am (9th March) or Sunday 4pm to 6pm (10th March).  This is due to coaching staff and a significant number of swimmers attending the Nova Open Meet.  The Foundation and Development Squads will train as normal on Sunday 10th March – 3pm to 4pm.

Ilkeston Parents who volunteered to officiate over the two weekends and for all parents continuing support.

After taking on the Head Coach role 5 months ago, Richard Tomlinson has seen the swimmers build in confidence, with recent success in the Arena League, Derbyshire Sprints, Rotherham Meet and now Derbyshire County Championships. Richard has introduced some big changes in the reconstruction of squads and training cycles, with the swimmers rising to the new challenges. Ilkeston Swimming Club has a Development Programme from young swimmers, new to competition, to the top end of competitive swimming, with a great group of Coaching Staff, Committee Members and Parents working hard to support and further develop the success of the Club.
