Training this Weekend

Hi All,

Just a reminder that training is still on tomorrow morning, however it is only 1 hour (7:30-8:30).

Please make sure that swimmers in Junior Elite and National Potential that aren’t at the Liverpool Open Meet, and step-up swimmers, are at the session in the morning as normal.

Training is also on as normal for all squads on Sunday.

Thanks,

Dan.

ISC Win More Medals at the Nova Meet…

35 Ilkeston swimmers competing at the Nova Long Course Sprints Level 3 Meet at the weekend, after a 3rd consecutive weekend of competition, didn’t disappoint.
From the young age of 9yrs and up, with some swimmers doing long course swimming for the first time, everyone rose to the occasion.  With the focus on starts and speed, and not much rest in between races, the 1 day Sprint Meet resulted in another great set of statistics from some excellent swimming and very tired swimmers at the end.

Ilkeston swimmers achieved a 78% personal best rate, 27 medals, 48 top 6 places and
2 new Regional Qualifiers in Holly Dobbs and McKinley Cotton – well done guys!
Medal winners were:
James Wright with Gold in 50 freestyle, 50 back, 50 fly, 100 fly, 100 back and 100 free. Silver in 100 breast and Bronze in 50 breast.
Fred Buckingham with Gold in 50 free, 50 breast and 100 breast.
Lewis Brown with Silver in 100 breast.
George Buckingham with Bronze in 100 back.
Ronnie Archer with Bronze in 50 fly, 100 breast and 100 free.
Erin Pickard with Gold in 100 back and Bronze in 50 free & 50 back.
Delainey Cotton with Silver in 50 breast and 100 breast.
Erica Beharall with Silver in 50 fly.
Arwen Moore with Silver in 100 fly, 50 back, 100 free and Bronze in 50 fly & 100 back.
Holly Dobbs with Silver in 50 breast.
Well done all.
Thank you goes out to Assistant Coach, Dan Sloan, the Team Managers at the Meet and NOVA Swimming Club for a well organised event.  The Club’s next focus will be on the Liverpool Level 1 away meet on the 14th and 15th March .
